On 10 October, Pope Francis met with promoters of the French initiative “Écoles de Vie(s). This program draws in part from the Global Compact on Education. Safe and Supportive Environments – Écoles de Vie(s)

The “Écoles de Vie(s)” project wants to build inclusive spaces. These spaces are open to people with disabilities, entrepreneurs of the social and solidarity economy, leaders from all sectors and local residents. The hub of connection, understanding and cooperation.

A Church That Welcomes All – Écoles de Vie(s)

Pope Francis praised the project as a living example of an “outgoing Church.” He said this Church was open, welcoming, and inclusive. A Church such as this one provides consolation to those suffering, love to the loveless and help to the fallen.

The Holy Father stressed that every person has value in their own right. He said that each person, no matter how fragile, is inalienably dignified.
